What's in the Box

90 Degree down Angle SATA cable for DVD-ROM HDD SSD

Overview

SATA down right angle Cable

Features a thin cable design, which helps reduce clutter

The Down Right Angle (90-degree) SATA Cable features a standard (straight) SATA receptacle as well as a right-angled SATA receptacle, providing a simple 18-inch connection to a Serial ATA drive, with full SATA 3.0 bandwidth support of up to 6Gbps when used with SATA 3.0 compliant drives.

The right-angled SATA connection enables you to plug in your Serial ATA hard drive in hard to reach areas or tight spaces, while the low profile and flexible design of the cable improves airflow and reduces clutter in your computer case, helping to keep the case clean and cool.

Applications

Make a down right-angled connection to your SATA drive, for installation in tight spaces

Installing Serial ATA hard drives, and DVD drives in Small Form Factor computer cases.

Server and storage subsystem applications.

High-end workstation drive installations.

Connections to SATA Drive Arrays.

Customer questions & answers

QUESTION: What is the difference between Right 90 or Left 90? when it comes to applying 2ND hard drive for PC Backup only?

ANSWER:This would depend on how you are mounting the drive - if it would be in the case, then if it's mounted to the left or right (long-ways on the motherboard connection) is how you would determine which 'bend' you want. If you are mounting externally, then you would want the bend to work out so that the drive would not be upside down.

QUESTION: Is this all i need for a hardrive? Cable wise?

ANSWER:Depends. Is it an internal hard drive or external? These cables are for internal mounted SATA hard drives & SSD's (Solid State Drives). If your drive is internal, you will also need to power the drive from the power supply (PSU), so make sure you have an extra hard drive power cable coming from your PSU; it can be either the old style bigger 4 wire kind or the newer SATA power connector, unless your hard drive only has the new power supply connector (it looks like the end of these connectors, except it is a little wider). Smaller 2.5" drives (laptop size drives) usually only have the SATA type power connector; and the older 4 pin connectors are probably being phased out, though they are not extinct yet. These cables work for SATA I, II & III; the difference between I, II, & III is speed: I maxes at 1.5 Gb/s. II at 3Gb/s, III at 6Gb/s; both the HD and the motherboard SATA types will be rated at one of these three speeds. It is best to match speeds, but not absolutely necessary; mismatched speeds will work (they just won't be as efficient - e.g. hooking a SATA III drive to a SATA II mobo slot will work, but the potential max data transfer speed will be limited by the slower connector.. theoretically).
Make sure your HD is SATA (I, II or III) - not eSATA (external SATA) USB, Firewire, TB (thunderbolt) or any of the newer formats like SATA express, PCI express or M.2 (if it is not an SSD, you can probably rule out the new formats).

QUESTION: Does it work with a Dell K01B?

ANSWERIt works with anything that has a SATA port。

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK

1."Value for money: absolutely. These cords don't break the account, and they aren't expensive, either.
Material Quality: just as you would expect from these cords; their durable and just what the product itself needs to work.
Easy to use: Absolutely; Simple to use and put into other devices. Literally, you just clip them into the motherboard, harddrive or whatever device may need a SATA cable for."

2"Just what I needed for my new build. The quality of these cables are right on the money. I bought them because I needed that 90 Degree angle off my motherboard."

3." only used one of them, so I don't know that the other two work, but the one I did use works fine. My motherboard has two SATA ports that aim out at 90 degrees from the surface and two that point straight up from the surface. To aid in cable management, I wanted an extra 90 degree cable to run to my third drive, and this did the job. I like the length, not too long to get in the way but long enough to go where I needed it. I like that it is all black, so it blends in with other black cables and the black case."

4."I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR"

5"OK! Finally tested out these cables and each one works exactly like described. No faulty cables from Cable Matters. I primarily get HDMI cables from these guys but couldn't pass the deal of a 3 pack for less than 8 bucks you just cant beat it. Customer care sends you an email on day one to check for any issues and that is hands down the best customer care out of the bag. Highly recommend this company."
