Customer Feedback "Splitter works with 2 displays plugged in at the same time. If you only have one display plugged in with this splitter, the image will become distorted as the signal is intended to be split and passed through to two displays."
"The video works well, but the screws were too short. Not a deal breaker for high-quality video transmission, and it won't be in danger of becoming unplugged anyway...THIS ITEM was for displaying the same computer video output on two screens, both my monitor and my TV (which has VGA input, no HDMI). Additionally: My computer has Windows Media Center, which can schedule and record like a Tivo if you have a TV tuner, so I bought a USB tuner (for the new ATSC HighDefinition TV signal). I added a great indoor antenna (actually a super small outdoor type Dtv2B 2-Bay Uhf Antenna) and now have all my local channels and a free 11-day viewing guide on my computer! Now, I can set up my fave series to be recorded ahead of time, and watch them when I want.
"STC provided me with this great Y splitter monitor cord that allowed me to take my computer and send it to 2 different monitors at the same time. At least that was the plan. The tech that my job offers me is a bit older than the ideas I had in my head. I purchased this cable splitter without checking the devices I had. They could not do the task I wanted at work. Now, it worked at home, but that was not where I needed it. They thankfully were willing to accept the cord back with no damage to it and very slight use... I hope to work with them again."
"I wasn't thinking when I ordered this, as it is a splitter, period. I was looking to set my computer up with dual monitors showing different screens. It won't work to do this. You will need two VGA inputs into your computer, or a VGA and a UBS input, etc. What this does is give you two monitors with the same output. One is a clone of the other, so this splitter works great if you need it for this use."
"Great for running a duplicate desktop to my living room from my office so I can use the same computer and monitor things from my lazy boy. Some people think you need a powered splitter but I'm running this with 50' of VGA and my monitors work just fine. cheap easy and works just fine"
