Customer Feedback
"Having bought a little card adapter for $2 from China (see separate review) and being dissatisfied with the speed (way too slow) and the reliability (tends to cut out mid-project, corrupting either the current file or sometimes the whole card), I went with this "Ercrysto." Much happier.
Think of this as a normal USB 3 in 1 hub but with slots for all four popular SD and other memory cards. Data transmission is fast: roughly five times as fast as the prior card adapter. Reliability is total, as I've had no lost data or other dropped connections in over a month of service. I keep an external hard drive plugged into it, plus a flash drive and my smartphone, and freely shift data without problems.
For 12 beans, it's a good bargain. You'd be hard-pressed to find a quality hub and a quality card adapter for a price much lower. And I've learned the hard way that low price and acceptable quality rarely ride on the same bus. You'll be at least satisfied with this unit, if not more."
"I have used many USB 2.0 card readers and most of them are cheaply made. Finally, my card reader broke last week and it's time to get a new USB 3.0 card reader. After many years of using a card reader, this one is my favorite. It can read any memory card in today's market. I have shown this product to a friend and he told me to get him right away because he tried USB 2.0 read speed since nowadays memory cards are getting bigger and bigger. I recommend this product and give it two thumbs up!"
"I needed something that gave me a bit more USB slots for my Surface 4 and this does do the job. I provide an additional 3 USB ports as well as the card readers I will require (minus compact flashcards). Right off the bat, this top does feel a bit unfinished in that they cut the holes but didn't exactly sand it down so it flaked a little bit but it was easy to clean up. After plugging it in it took about 5-10 seconds to recognize and open the SD card. I tried a 128 GB SD card, 4 GB micro SD, and a 256 GB flash drive. All the devices when I tried transferring ran about 26-28 MB/s which is far below what I normally would get for just a normal USB 3.0. I tried just plugging in one device but the speed was relatively the same. Overall I am not extremely impatient with the transfer. It does the job and I can do more transfers. However, be aware transfer may vary based on devices. I had a Kingston 3.0 that would transfer super slow but it is mostly because of the Kingston and not the reader. Be careful when plugging in other devices during transfer. I have noticed it tends to disconnect other devices and reconnects. It also does not have enough power to power a 2.5 portable hard drive. This is portable and fits in my bag nicely. It doesn't have much cable length and if the cable breaks you lose the whole device. Overall this does the job for me. It is portable, gives a stable connection, and you can plug in multiple devices."
