"I've live-streamed about a half dozen times with this paired together with my Mevo Start and it works like a champ so far! No setup: simply plug it in and you're off to the races. It's about one-sixth the cost of Mevo's own branded ethernet adapter, so the price is a no-brainer and a fantastic value in comparison. Solid metal construction and lights to indicate when it's in use are a plus. As a side note, it also works equally well with my MacBook Pro, although that's not what I purchased it for. "You cannot ALWAYS rely on having WiFi where you are, or where you are going. The latest MBPs are so thin that they do not come with an ethernet port anymore. So if there is no wifi, and no ethernet port, you're completely out of luck. Well, not anymore with this adapter. Another nice feature is that the USB C plug portion is thin enough that it does not block the other USB C port that's right next to this one (ie you can charge while also plugging in an ethernet cord). Some adapters or too thick on the USB-C end that you cannot plug into the other USB-C port"

"Does the job without taking up much space. Use with a 2019 Mac Powerbook. Connecting directly through an Ethernet cable to my cable modem has improved both speed and reliability vs. WiFi, which can degrade due to interference (my computer typically shows a dozen or more WiFi networks within range). I wish the Ethernet cable would "snap" more clearly into the adapter, but that might be more about the Ethernet cable than the adapter. Certainly, the Mac end fits snugly.
