Question: Can I use the ethernet adapter and the USB hubs at the same time?

Answer: Yes both will work at the same time. Do keep in mind that you still have a maximum throughput of your host device.

Question: Can I use it for internet service by connecting my cell phone's USB tethering through my desktop's ethernet port? Would this item help my situation?

Answer: Usually in your case people will purchase a specific cable adapter that uses the charging port of your phone to an ethernet cable.

Question: Are the USB ports visible to a host connected via the ethernet port?

Answer: No, this device does not do USB over IP. If you attached a drive and shared the drive via Windows then the drive would be but the ports themselves are not.

"Using this on a 2017 Surface Pro which is replacing my giant heavy laptop when I’m traveling. Some of my customers do not have public wifi and the only option is a network cable.

So far, it’s working and serving its purpose. Using all 3 ports with flash drives and a network cable plugged in, everything works. The unit is quite small and the cable is thicker than say my phone USB cable, but it’s pretty flexible. Only time will tell with all the bending if it holds up. There's a single very small LED indicator on the top of the unit as well as LED indicators on the network side."

"Impressive little adaptor. I had a motherboard failure on my main PC and was forced to use my laptop as the primary device. I quickly found that the wifi while speedy simply could not cut it for large transfers and ordered this guy. "I'm using this hub/adapter on an ultra-book laptop which has few USB3 ports and no ethernet. Win10H has no trouble finding and using this adapter, and the ethernet speed into my gigabit switch is around 90MB/s. Seems to be very sturdily made. My only complaint (and that of other reviewers) is that the aluminum case has very sharp edges; I had to break the edges (chamfer them) with a very fine file. I don't use this adapter very often so I can't comment on its longevity yet."
