ANSWER: Quality is good. Used it a couple of times.
QUESTION: I’m looking to use this on two 2.5” laptop drives; would this product work? ANSWER: yes, it will work with two 2.5" sata ssd
QUESTION: I have a 750w Power supply, will using this be fine? ANSWER: It depends on how much of that 750 your system already uses and how much the component you plan on adding uses. If it's still less than 750 it will be ok, just don't split a splitter. You can check your power usage by building your rig on stc-cable.com
QUESTION: Can I run 2 SSD or HDDs off of this?? ANSWER: Yes it turns 1 power output into 2 power output just need a spare data sata on the motherboard for the 2nd drive. I bought this to power several Hdd since my computer supports only 4 Hdd now it supports 8
Feedback"In my IT practice, I use these fairly often, especially in Dell computers which often have no spare power connectors. A great way to get that extra power is to a USB 3.0 expansion card or video card that requires extra power or even an extra drive like an SSD. They are handy and one of the items I keep in stock. I've used 3 of the 4 in the package and they have been 100% perfect in my use. This isn't a complicated item but I'm glad to find reliable cables at a fair price. These earn 5 stars from me. I'll keep a few in stock. I know I'll be using them."
"These were perfect for adding an SSD to a Dell R170. There are extra SATA data connectors on the MB, but no extra power connections. So, I used one of these splitters to get power from the DVD drive."
"Needed them for close quarters SSD stack in a tool-free x3 tray by icy dock. Splits a single SATA power connector into 2 and you get 2 of them, so pretty nice. I only ended up needing one but with all electronic-type stuff, it never hurts to have backups. The only gripe I have is I wish one of the connectors was the right angle or something. The straightness of this made cable management more annoying than it had to be (but not as annoying as if had to connect another SATA power cable from my power supply). So overall worth it."
"Exactly what I was looking for, thanks! I love these connectors! The sleeving looks great, and they seem to be of good quality overall. These work great when you don't have enough SATA Power connectors on a run. Another thing you could use these for is to hide the ugly cables that come with some power supplies behind the panel and just run these out to the drives. I know that is kind of like cheating, but it does look better than "ketchup and mustard" cables all over the place.
"It works for most devices but not all. I bought it to use with my Corsair liquid cooler only to find my water block wasn't lighting up anymore. It does work for my HDD and other RGB light controller boxes in my case just not the Corsair liquid cooler(Corsair H100i platinum). I believe they skipped out on some of the voltage outputs to cut costs. I know sata power consists of grounds, 3x 3.3v, 3x 5v, and 3x 12volt pins. Now I didn't get a meter to test each pin to tell you exactly what corners they cut. What I can tell you is it does work with most devices that require sata power, but not all. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
