Customer Feedback1.Manufactured well and implemented wellPros: Cons: I'd suggest if possible including an adapter of some sort, even if it's just a 2.0 to type e adapter, because, even though the full extent of usb c would not be supported running through a usb 2.0 header, there still should be power running through, at least I would think so, and it would allow at least some use of this product on a motherboard without a type e header. I'd say if you really enjoy and would use the benefits of type c connection to your pc, as well as your motherboard has this header and supports it, go ahead. I know type c has many benefits over usb a. Even if you don't have a type e header, a 20 pin to type e header is possible, and if the benefits of having that type c port outway not having the front panel usb ports then this product is an easy yes for you. This adapter is manufactured well and implemented well, there's nothing flashy or sketchy about it, and it gets done what it needs. Do your research and take a look at your motherboard and what you need, if anything, for this, before purchase, and then this will be a great product.
2.Easy upgrade, works greatMy Asrock Z370 Extreme4 motherboard came with a USB C 3.1 header that was going to waste. My case has no Type C port, and and I couldn't find any front panel hubs that would let me use this header (at least, all the Type C front panel hubs I found are actually to convert an older USB 3 header to a USB Type C port). So this item is perfect. Although my mobo's 3.1 header is Gen 1, it works fine with this Gen. 2 device (even if lacking full 3.2 functionality). I'm using it with a hub, for now, to add 6 more USB 3 Type A ports, and they all work. Fast and easy upgrade, and that header is now being put to practical use. Looks well-made, too.
3.Absolutely AmazingEvery now and again, I stumble across a product that is so simple and perfectly meets my needs at a reasonable price that it makes me wonder why there’s not a million more exactly like it. Had a tough time weeding through all the PCIe cards that were way expensive and needed various assortments of connectors just to get one or two USB C 3.1 ports added to my computer before I stumbled across this gem. To be fair, I did have to slightly modify the bracket to fit the rear panel but it very clearly states FRONT panel so I can’t be mad about that.
4.Nice, works great with my Asus X470 Prime Pro USB3.1 Gen2 MB headerThis lets me add a USB3.1 Gen2 port (Type C) to my back panel coming from the Asus X470 header. These are hard to find, it's a shame Asus did not include one, but this nice quality with a good matte black slightly textured finish. Cable was able to reach header easily, not too long, not too short. No sign of errors. Nothing I have can really test these 10Gbs speeds yet, but it's not slowing anything down either.
