What is the difference between wireless network card and wired network card?
1. Connection method:
Wired network cards are connected to the network through physical cables (such as Ethernet cables), while wireless network cards are connected to the network through wireless signals. Wired network cards need to be physically connected to network equipment (such as switches and routers), while wireless network cards are connected to the network through wireless routers or access points.
2. Transmission speed:
Generally speaking, wired network cards have higher transmission speeds. 4. Flexibility and portability:
Wireless network cards have greater flexibility and portability, and can be moved freely within the coverage of the wireless network without being restricted by cable length. However, wired network cards need to be connected via physical cables and are subject to cable length and wiring restrictions when used.
5. Security:
Wired network cards are more difficult to be accessed by unauthorized users than wireless network cards. Wireless signals from wireless network cards can be intercepted or interfered with by others, so security measures (such as encryption) are needed to protect the security of wireless networks.
