TE introduces reverse board connectors for all types of LED lighting applications
Recently, TE Connectivity (hereafter referred to as "TE"), the world's leading provider of connectivity solutions, announced the BUCHANAN WireMate ITB (Reverse Through) connector. These wire-to-board connectors are suitable for linear and round LED modules in all types of commercial and industrial lighting systems.
The new reverse-panel Poke-In connector features easy-to-use in-line and wire-release features to help reduce installation time and flexibility in re-use and wire replacement. There is no need to crimp and solder when connecting the wires; the wires are firmly held in place after being inserted and will not be accidentally pulled out. If necessary, the exit of the wire can be reworked with a stable overall release function.
In addition, the BUCHANAN WireMate reverse-push Poke-In connector is compact and only 2mm above the top surface of the PCB. The horizontal insertion of the wires minimizes the occupation of the space under the PCB.

The unique modular design allows customers to use more flexible color options to facilitate blind insertion applications and greatly increase productivity. Each connector can be applied to any combination of solid and stranded wire sizes from 22-18 AWG (0.35-0.75mm2). These connectors are compliant with UL 1977 component connector standards for data, signals, Control and power applications."
The BUCHANAN WireMate reverse-push Poke-In wire-to-board connector has a maximum voltage rating of 320V and a current rating of 6A (for 18AWG wire) or 5A (for 20 and 22AWG wire). The connector is molded with a high temperature resistant thermoplastic housing to withstand high temperature SMT soldering temperatures. The connectors are modular in design and can be used for up to five-wire connections and are available in different colors to prevent installers from accidentally plugging in the wires.
