This adapter cable provides connectivity from a SFF-8087 SAS controller card, backplane, or expander to control up 4 SATA devices (including SATA III at 6Gbps, SATA II at 3Gbps, and SATA I at 1.5Gbps). The compact design of both the SATA connector and the cable helps installation and improves airflow and thermal mechanics. The cable includes SFF-8448 sideband signals. The low-profile Mini-SAS connector is 33% shorter than the standard; the low-profile Mini-SATA connector is 50% shorter than the standard. The slim cable is 55% thinner than the standard. All of these cable attributes make its installation in a tight space a breeze.
