The HDMI to VGA Converter cable MAXIMUM RESOLUTION SUPPORT SIGNAL TRANSMITTING ELECTRIC POWER CONDITION Customer Feedback
"The cord works and the support info in the product description solved my issue. It didnt work for my super snes bc the snes did not supply enough power. However, Xbox, Switch and PS4 do in fact provide enough power to display an image. PCs do to! I love the price and will be testing this out to a further extent soon."
"I bought this only to find it was wrong for my equipment (my fault, not this item's), so I am donating it to a place that I hope can give it a happy home."
"Just what I needed to be able to add a monitor to my laptop for added screen space to work."
"Great product. I've been using it for a little over a month now, and it definitely gets the job done. I use it to add a second display to my HP laptop. There is a little bit of flickering, but it's only noticeable on certain windows or areas of the screen. For example, the icons in the notification area on my Windows taskbar (bottom right of the screen) flicker a little bit. It's not a big deal, though, because the majority of time I don't notice any flickering. I don't know if it's because of the product itself, my monitor, or simply the nature of converting HDMI to VGA signal."
"That headline is no joke. I got 2 old monitors (Dell and Viewsonic, both older 17" 4x3 aspect ratio) from a crackhead for $10, and this cable works with the VGA connection on both of them. Of course I can only use one at a time, but I needed an extra while gaming/multitasking. My main monitor is an Acer KN242HYL and I use the Viewsonic (oddly enough, the refresh rate is 75hz) as the chat/system monitor. They both work just fine with my ASUS 1060 3GB. Don't let the bad reviews fool you...either people don't know what they're doing or they don't understand what HDMI to VGA means. The HDMI goes from the GPU to the VGA input on the monitor. I'm not sure why anyone would be confused by that. Anyway, the cable is thicc, heavy and feels like it's good quality. I've been using it since the beginning of May with no problems. If you happen to have a crackhead in your neighborhood selling old monitors on the cheap, pick one of these cables up. I should note that I also had to buy a power cable (same cable you'd use for a TV) because apparently he just stole the monitors without thinking about how to plug them in, but it was less than $10, so that's okay with me. In the end, I spent about $30 for 2 monitors and everything needed to connect 1 of them at a time. Not bad."
