"he converter was indeed plug and play. I have a Samsung 700t old tablet style machine that I installed Windows 10 on. This allows me to connect a VGA monitor for things like playing older games. There are only 2 issues I have. The first issue is that every once in a while the screen on the monitor starts to flip out. The picture starts to get a wavy feel to it. Unplugging the adapter and plugging it back in fixes the issue. I have a feeling it is because the port on the tablet is higher so the VGA cable and converter end are hanging off to the side which is pulling on the micro-HDMI connecter. A longer cable from connecter to converter would have been nice. I knew it was short when I bought it though. I picked this up because I wanted a cheap solution to test if I could even get a signal fro the tablet. The second and more concerning thing was that the adapter itself says Acer on it. This makes me question if the device was a refurb or if the company just buys and resells whatever they find. Regardless not a big deal since the device works, but a heads up on the description page would have been nice."
"I've had trouble with other converters. Namely, none worked at all to allow me to connect to VGA (for projectors) from my laptop. This device was immediately recognized by Windows, and works perfectly to project via VGA.
"I bought this after discovering, sadly the day I was to give a presentation, that my new laptop did not have a way to connect it to an lcd projector. I immediatly started figuring out what would work as I had the second half of my presenation a week later. I decided to go with the UGREEN Video Converter Adapter since I has multiple connectors. It worked perfectly with the VGA connection for the laptop to talk with the projector. I have also tried the HDMI connection on a projector and on a tv as well, both times connected smoothly. I am very glad I invested in this and hope that it works for as long as I have this laptop (probably the next one too). I will update this review if it stops working or has issues, until then, this review will stand as written."
"I bought this for my Lenovo Yoga 2 13 (only video output is a micro-HDMI.) I do presentations every week and was tired of using someone else's laptop, so I bought this adapter. The micro HDMI connection is nice and tight, as is both the full HDMI and VGA connections. I love that the VGA has the screw holes to secure the connect! This worked flawlessly without any setup required on Windows 10. The build quality seems solid, and the price was awesome! I would highly recommend this product to anyone."
