Also, if you are in the market for these, make sure you look closely at the way/direction your ports accept the HDMI cable; you don't want to order a 90-degree if you need a 270-degree, or vice versa. "Using these with a 3D / 4K compliant Sony AV receiver. All cables are 4K / 3D compatible, and these seem to pass the image without a problem. For most receivers, these are the ones you want to have the associated cable go UP from the device toward the monitor. I bent two of these when my receiver became unstable during the installation. That's good because I'd rather these gave out than the HDMI receptacles that are built into the receiver!"

"I am very happy with these. My new SONY TV has HDMI connectors on the side of the set. I had to bend the cables 180 degrees at a tight radius so they didn't stick out. These adapters have a solid feel, there is a noticeable click when the cables are plugged in and they are gold-plated. What's not to like?"

"Used this for my Roku streaming stick. I was having intermittent connection issues with the Roku. Once I used this connector all connectivity issues disappeared. Roku offers a free HDMI adapter, but it's a wire and hangs the streaming stick. I like that this connector is rigid so it's not flapping around. My TV isn't mounted to a wall so I don't mind that it sticks straight out. People with wall-mounted TVs should measure the distance to the wall just in case."
