"I'm taking the hdmi out of the cable box, splitting it and sending one of the outputs through the Benfei HDMI to VGA Adapter to one of my computer monitors at my desk. This way I can watch the news or listen to music from the cable box while working. The picture quality is excellent and the HD looks great on the Dell 24" monitor. Audio is being fed from the cable box directly via RCA outputs to the computer audio which has a Logitech speaker system with subwoofer. There is no issue of lag or audio / video synch. In the end I have a great 24" HD TV and good audio at my computer desk for little cost. Money well spent."
"I'm using this on a monitor I have set up on a desk in our loft that the kids use for homework. I've got a couple chromebooks that they use and this is perfect for being able to connect those to the monitor to make the work easier when they are home. As it has been said, you have to tell the machine not to send audio through the HDMI if you need it to come through the machine, but that is the only adjustment that had to be made. It is exactly what is needed for anyone who has a chromebook and needs to connect it to a VGA monitor."
"I bought this adapter to run an old VGA monitor off of a new nVidia graphics card as part of a three-monitor set-up. The video card has three different outputs; DP, HDMI, and DVI. It is able to use all three simultaneously if desired. This adapter was obviously for the HDMI port. I bought another brand of adapter for the DP port to compare quality. Admittedly not a very exciting experiment, but I'm happy because they both work as intended. Windows 10 correctly identified the ancient monitor through the passive analog adapter and is able to send it whatever resolution I ask. Frankly, I was surprised at how good it looked and how easily it all came together. I see no reason to pay more for an adapter such as this. It does the job. I had never heard of Moread before, but the reviews were good enough to give it a shot. I have not been disappointed. The flexible cable between the two ends allows me to put the computer box closer to a wall than if it was a solid one-piece unit. I didn't want a 4-inch plastic lever sticking out the back of my computer, so I got this. So far, so good. Everything communicates correctly across this adapter."
"I built a new computer, but wanted to reuse my VGA monitors. They still work great for my purposes, so why replace them just because plug technology has changed? However, the computer wouldn't boot to install Windows with the VGA monitor plugged into this adapter. I had to plug the computer into my TV to install Windows. Then once I was in Windows, I was able to use this adapter to connect my VGA monitor and haven't had any problems with it since."
"I ordered this to enable me to hook up my Raspberry Pi 2 B, to a an older Compaq VGA LCD computer monitor. Worked perfectly right out the box. Delivered a beautiful picture. Since this is an active adaptor, I was a bit worried that it would load down the Pi's power supply, to the point of causing a low voltage condition. I was glad to find out that there were no power issues. Even with wireless USB keyboard, USB mouse and WiFi dongles, plugged into the Pi along with this adaptor, I measured 5.1 volts on the Pi's 5 volt buss. The adaptor construction appeared to be high quality. I'm very satisfied with this purchase."
