Answer: It’s meant to lengthen the cable if it doesn’t reach the motherboard, or for cable management purposes, you could probably use it as a replacement but it’s meant to extend it.
Question: I already have custom cable mod cables could I use this to come out of the psu to extend my current cables? Answer: hese would connect to your existing cables and act as an extension, they are not a direct replacement cable to the PSU. Customer Feedback1> It may not be a fancy braided cable extension, however it does the job just fine. I needed one of these because my mother's PC case just barely fits an ATX board even though it is advertised as an ATX mid-tower case. Since the ATX board covered some of the cable-routing holes, I had to get a bit creative with cable management. The EPS cable on the PSU was not long enough to reach the motherboard's connector once I did my routing. This did the job perfectly. 2> perfect to extend to cpu power connector, My power supply cable was too short, this was perfect to extend my connector 3> Easy to install, flexible enough to do what I needed it to do in a budget case. In a case with proper cable management this will be even better I imagine. 4> Awesome came with two now i can reach the cpu port and the cable actually fits around my 580 and heat sync so i don't need to lift the mother board out again (even if i did the case was to big before i put these in the 580 wasn't the issue it was my tower)
