Answer: Hi Jake, This product supports up to 1920x1200 (or 1080P) @60Hz or 30Hz Please email leo@stccable.com if you have any further questions. Thanks, Question: This adaptor looks like it is a dual-link DVI adaptor. Is it a dual-link DVI adaptor? Answer: Yes. It is DVI-I Dual Link Question: Will this work with a DVI-i single link ( analog and digital) cable? Answer: Yes, it's a DL DVI-i connector Question: I can't get my fourth monitor to display with my R9 290. Maybe my generic DisplayPort is a passive one? Will this active adapter can solve my problem? Answer: Yes, this active adapter will help. Please email leo@stccable.com if you have any further questions. Thanks, Customer Feedback "you should only be buying ACTIVE adapters. some display configurations won't work with a passive adapter and they cost almost the same in a quality brand. In a sub-par brand when you open up a passive adapter sometimes all the wires are not even connected! "This product works for my application. It has DisplayPort (male) and DVI female ports, and they were covered with plastic caps to keep the ports dust and debris free. All pins appeared to be present in the DVI port to support the use of a Dual Link DVI-D cable, and the adapter is Active. Though, the adapter does not accept an external power source. So, if your conversion requires external power, this adapter may not work for you. I am using it in a Dell docking station that only had DisplayPort and HDMI outs, whereas my monitor had only VGA and DVI inputs. It seems to work well enough so far (1900 x 1200 resolution at 60Hz), but my application is simple, and doesn't require close scrutiny on the quality of the video output. "Works great with Eyefinity. The workstation-class AMD FirePro cards had a recent update to Catalyst that reports the type of connection on each port with additional technical details. This adapter causes the connection to be reported as a native DisplayPort-to-DisplayPort, eliminating any issues caused by passive adapters and allowing seamless operation of 3+ simultaneous displays. There is a slight flicker on the third LCD but I have no indication at this point it's caused by the adapter; will update after I swap some cables and other variables if it's an adapter issue. Barring that possibility, 5 stars all the way." "Works with a GTX 980 to drive a third monitor (1 DVI, 1 HDMI, and one HDMI to DisplayPort- i.e. this adapter). I had some hiccoughs getting Nvidia control panel to play friendly with the 3 different inputs, but I don't fault the adapter for this. Picture quality is great: I don't notice any difference between it and my other inputs. My only complaint would be that the monitor attached to the adapter is slower to turn on at startup, or to update when resolutions are changed, etc. This doesn't have any bearing on normal use, however (the monitor hooked up to the adapter doesn't lag behind the others frame-wise when watching videos, working on the desktop, playing games, or anything like that.) "Works perfectly. I am able to simultaneously run 3 monitors on my desktop computer, and it works perfectly. The video card is AMD Radeon R9 270X HAWK. You need an ACTIVE DisplayPort to run 3 monitors, this is an ACTIVE DisplayPort." |
