The adapter changes the angle at which the front-panel cable connects to the motherboard, which may create some cabling challenges, depending on your case, front panel cables and whether the length of your graphics card requires that the cable run behind it. The adapter also fits very snugly into the USB Type-A connector on the motherboard, so it must be installed onto the motherboard first. You can't just install the cable into the adapter and then pop into place on the board. At least, it didn't work for me with my setup.
