The STC-BB026 USB 2.0 to Slim SATA USB Slimline Serial ATA 7+6 13-pin Connector Adapter Cable allows you to contact CD DVD ROM Driver with a SATA 13-pin interface to your computer via USB 2.0 port at a speed up to 480Mbps. It's ideal for you to backup files or upgrade your notebook hard drive.
The extra USB port is for additional power.
1> This USB 2.0 to SATA cable connects a 7+6 pin Slimline SATA optical drive to a laptop via a USB port to read/write CDs and DVDs for easy testing and data transfer, making the optical drive a very handy external drive.
2> The USB 2.0 port for external power when required (When lack of power, please plug the additional USB connector into the computer).
3> Support XP, Win7, Win8, MAC, Vista, desktop, notebook, Boot from external drive capability. Note: it doesn't fit the optical drive from a desktop PC, and not fit the IDE interface optical drive.
4> USB 2.0 interface, supports hot plug, plug and play. Data transfer rates up to 480Mbps.
