FAQ: Question: What wire gauge (AWG) are these cables? Answer: SATA III Cable is 26AWG.
Question: I have been looking for a cable with a 90° down and a 90° left end for ever, this looks almost perfect. Is it available in black?
Answer: I have also been looking for really thin SATA cables exactly like this in black, but blue seems to be the only color anyone has. However, one easy trick is to use something like Krylon Fusion in black to repaint them. All you have to do is carefully tape off the ends. I was successfully able to do this with some exposed bits of NF-F12 iPPC 2000 PWM wires (used as a bottom mounted case fan, some of the wire is exposed where it leaves the controller in the center and is routed out towards the outer edge of the housing). The paint took very well, so it should work with these SATA cables as well.
Question: is there a 12 inch version of this? Answer: dear customer,we are factory and support customize cable length and color.
Feedback 1."All the negative reviews are from people who either bought the wrong type or found the connectors to be too high-profile for their needs. Nobody addresses the quality negatively.
2."Nothing too exciting here. I had a few SSD's floating around on USB adapters and used these SATA data jumpers to finally do a little housekeeping and put them Inside the box, where they belong. They are made with precision, and with minor difficulty got them plugged into the MB (six SATA ports). They lock in nicely, and 18 inches seems to be about the right length for meandering through the box to the SSD's new resting places. Recommended .. Five Stars. Cheers!"
3."For my purposes the right angle cable ends work perfectly, but YMMV. On my main board the SATA ports are lined up wide side by wide side ( | | | | ), not in a line end to end ( _ _ _ _ ), so the right-angle cable ends keep the cable low in the case, making it is easier to rout from the SATA port to the SATA device. So if your ports are lined up end to end, ou may prefer a straight cable end rather than a right angle end."
4."I bought 1000 sets of SATA cables and these were the longer ones to reach my hard drives that were in a bay farther from the mother board. I would recommend for people who plan to cable manage their cables as it gives plenty of extra to run it where you need it."
