Customer Questions & Answers
Question: Is this USB 2.0 or USB 3.0? the description says 2 but promo images say USB 3.0. does it depend on which interface you use?
Answer: It comes up as a USB 3.0 on my Windows machine. The speed will depend on the SD card that you use. USB 3.0 can fall back to USB 2.0 speed.
Question: Will this work with iPhones
Answer: NO.
Question: How do you transfer pictures from the SD card to the phone? I can see the pictures but there is no option to transfer them to the photo gallery on my
Answer: You should be able to install a file manager app if you do not already have one, which should allow you to copy files. On my Note 3, the app I use is called My Files.
Customer Feedback
"I have had something similar to this for years, and with the need to upgrade my devices, I figured I should go ahead and upgrade my card reader as well. I love that this card reader works with USB, Micro USB, and USB Type C. The reason I like to have this handy tool on hand is due to a wreck that I had a few years ago. A Lady pulled out in front of me on the highway, not from an on-ramp, but from the side of the road after an exit ramp. I don't think she even looked. Luckily, it was closer to a sideswipe-type collision than at-bone, but it was still a pretty hard hit. She had a passenger in her car, and I was driving by myself. She told the officer that I came from 2 lanes over and hit her. After much fumbling, due to how badly I was shaking from the wreck, I was finally able to get the memory card from my dashcam into my phone to show the officer what happened. I immediately got my first card reader like this the next day to help make that easier. I hope that I never have to use it like that again, but I have it if I do. I will use it for other uses, as it is very versatile, so it will not go unused"
"This is a very handy device. I was able to take the mini SD card from my camera and download pics to my computer very quickly. Now I have the camera backed up - it had several years of photos on it. It is very easy to use."
"It took me a minute to figure out how to use this thing, because there are no instructions, and I wasn't sure if it mattered whether I plug it into my phone before or after inserting the micro-SD to which I was transferring data off of the said phone. I think I did end up doing things in that order, and it worked fine, but I still don't know if the order mattered. Haven't used it for anything but data transfer via USB-C to micro-SD card, but I presume it works as well in the other direction, and with the other types of connections. It's a little tricky to get the protective caps on the ends on and off; they don't seem to fit very well. Still seems to be a good value for the price, though."
"so I got this for my husband's computer since it doesn't have an SD card reader, and he was never happier lol, it's easy to use and helpful when you want to put pictures/videos from your phone on the computer, we always have trouble that the computer doesn't recognize my phone when I connect it with a USB cable, but that problem is gone now with the SD card reader shipping was fast too so I'm really happy"
"A versatile, useful product that makes moving files from one device to another quick and easy. But beware that not all micro-USB connections are created equal! "
