"First, note that this is a splitter, not a switcher/selector. That means that it takes one input signal and displays it on up to 4 monitors.This does exactly what it's supposed to, splits full 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 for true 4k 60Hz 4:4:4 video.I'm using it in a home theater setup to split a 4k input to a 4k TV and a lower resolution projector. By default, it will pass EDID information from the device with the lowest resolution. In my case, I needed a 4k output to the TV and 1080p to the projector. To achieve this, I just pressed the mode button on the front until only LED 2 was flashing, which accepts a 1080p input and sends either 4k or 1080p to the output devices, based on what they'll accept (note that you don't need to hold the button or anything to save it afterwards, it will eventually stop blinking and save on its own)." |
